Made to order, one board at a time

I build edge grain and end grain cutting boards from the wood species you choose, at the size you need. Edge grain gives you the classic butcher-block look. End grain shows the ends of the wood in a checkerboard or pattern and makes a real centerpiece.

Every board is quoted individually, and every cutting board comes with Michael’s Board Butter.

Cutting Board Designer is a free web app I built for planning cutting boards. Use it to plan a board you’d like me to build, or one you’re building yourself in your own shop. No account needed.

  • Mix 28 real wood species and see the result in a live 2D or 3D preview, including an oil-finish view.

  • Set the size and style: face grain, edge grain, or end grain, in strip or grid patterns.

  • Get a board summary, materials list, and cost estimate as you design.

  • Save your design, share it with a link, or export a plan PDF for the shop.
